The long-awaited 3D sculpture workshop is finally here!!!
Rachelle will walk you through her process of creating 3D sculptures using hooked surface techniques on linen. She will introduce students to easy-to-understand techniques that give them tools that will help them explore their ideas and designs in 3D.
You will learn:
- how to create and design your own 3D shape without the need of armature.
- how to shape strips to create movement
- how to shape your strips to create organic movement within the design.
- how to hide seam allowances so they are not visible inside your shape.
- how to finish a 3D form.
Class starts November 1st, 2023, and is a video-based class that allows students to learn at their own pace. 1 year access to the videos.
Finished piece is 10" x 12"

Rachelle will walk you through her process, including her distinct style of hooking faces, hair, clothing, backgrounds, and finishing technique. She is a teacher that creates an atmosphere full of reflective learning and quiet encouragement. Students can learn at their own pace, find their inner voice, and translate the techniques into their art. Spaces are limited. The next class starts September 1st, 2023.
